SOUTH JERSEY MASTERS SOCCER LEAGUE
REGULATIONS
DUTIES:
1. Steve Paulo - serve as head of league and central point of contact, update and distribute fact sheet, distribute team representative data, collect and submit team assigner fee.
2. Steve Paulo - print the game cards and distribute to all team reps as required.
3. Richard Lodge - develop and distribute schedule, collect game cards (call to obtain missing cards as required) and monitor yellow and red cards issued.
4. Stan Smith and Richard Lodge- collect rosters and registration records, officially annotate rosters to reflect registered players (as received), and distribute rosters with registrations annotated.
5. Stan Smith - obtain liability insurance ($1 mil dollar policy).
6. Richard Lodge- maintains league website including game results, standings etc.
ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION:
1. Team assigner fee is $30 per team. All teams should pay at the meeting to register for the season.
2. Referee fee: $120 per game (each team pays $60).
3. Any rainouts or canceled games will not be automatically added to the schedule. You are free to makeup canceled games on your own as you choose.
4. Rosters will be interchanged at the meeting.
5. Each team must pay $60 toward the league's liability insurance policy in the spring. This is a year-long policy.
6. If your team wants to change jersey colors, you must first contact the head of the league or make a request at the league meeting. If your team chooses a color already in use by another team, you will have to wear alternate jerseys or vests when you play that team.
ACTION:
1. If you revise your roster, you must forward your revised roster to Richard Lodge. You must list the shirt number, name, address, and date of birth.
2. Ensure your players complete the registration procedure if they haven't done this previously. Forward your player registration copies to Richard Lodge immediately after your first game. In order to play, a player must be on your roster and have completed the registration procedure. If they have not completed the registration procedure, they must present their original license before the start of each game or they will be ineligible to play that game.
3. You must give a copy of the fact sheet to each of your players to ensure they understand all of the league rules.
4. Put stamps on the game cards as soon as you receive them so that they are stamped when you provide them to the referee at your home games.
5. If you cancel a game for any reason, it is the home team's responsibility to notify the referee assigner. If no referee shows up for your game, you should also notify the referee assignor.
GAME
DATA:
Time - 10 a.m. Sunday (15 min. grace period but periods may be shorted).
Field - must be lined with corner flags and goals.
Fees - $120: Each team pays $60 (forfeiting teams pay full fee).
Forfeit - less than 7 eligible players after 10:15 a.m.
REFEREE:
Free substitution (except goalies) (substitution allowed during play, away from ball without advantage)

Home team calls Rick Lodge (609-440-3600) if there is no referee at the game. Also call or e-mail Steve Paulo.
REPRESENTATIVE:
Player challenge should be done prior to the start of the game or when the questionable player enters the game.
Home team must supply the official with a fact sheet and game card.
Maintain CONTROL of your players.
Both captains report all RED cards to Richard Lodge or Steve Paulo by phone immediately after the game.
REGISTRATION:
All players must complete a one time registration procedure. Every player must bring a copy and the original of his driver license to their first game (or sooner). A manager from an opposing team will view the original and sign the copy. The player's manager will forward the certified copy to the league to complete the registration.
TEAMS:
Out-of-state players - limit of 5 per team.
All players must be at least 35 yrs. old in the year 2008.
All players must:
1. Have a proper uniform with assigned league number on the back.
2. Be included on roster held by opposing team rep, otherwise they will be ineligible to play that game. Any roster changes must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to a game.
3. Have completed the league registration procedure, otherwise they must present their original license before the start of the game or they will be ineligible to play that game.
All players must wear shin guards. Referees are enforcing this rule. Roster is limited to a maximum of 26 players.
PENALTIES:
RED Card-First a) non-physical: next game suspension
b) physical: next two game suspension and discipline meeting if needed.
Second RED Card a) combination: next two game suspension and discipline meeting.
b) physical: next six game suspension and discipline meeting.
YELLOW Card--Second: next game suspension.
Each additional card: next game suspension.
Penalty for playing under the age limit: Five year suspension until age 40.
Players who have violated the age limit may not re-enter the league without specific clearance at a league meeting. Player and manager are subject to discipline if clearance is not obtained.
